Teaching Practice
My first Week During the teaching practice
After doing observation in few classes I was assigned to
teach class 2/1 in VRUDS. I follow the teaching procedure as my lesson plan.
The first step is warm up. In this stage I prepare my
students by arranging their seats. After that I lean them to pray. The most important
part of warm up is that the teacher got the students attention and to trigger
the students’ intention in learning the materials by giving songs and let them
sing it together. Also in this part the teacher will evaluate the students’
previous knowledge to identify how far the students have understood the previous
materials.
The next step is presentation. In this stage the teacher gave
the students the actual material that the teacher presents. The way of introducing
it was by giving the students song related to the topic from the warm up stage.
The presentation includes the explanation of the material to the students.
The third step is the practice. After giving the students
the explanations about the material the teacher then give the students the
tasks. These tasks was giving to evaluate how far is the students has
understand the materials that they’ve learnt.
The fourth step is the production. In this stage the
students are expected to be able to produce word related to the materials that
they’ve learnt. Such as, telling the students to make their own sentences using
the formula that the teacher explained before. This stage is important because
the teacher will evaluate whether the students can applied the material to the
real life.
The last step is warp up stage. This stage is where the
teacher asks the students about any question that they want to ask. Also, this
part is where the teacher concludes the lesson. At the very end sometimes the
teacher gives homework to the students.
